It was a beautiful sunny day (at least it started off that way) right near Spring Point Lighthouse at the Southern Maine Community College in South Portland Maine. It was a beautiful location for an outside wedding with a view of Portland Head Light off in the distance. Melissa and Michael were a lovely couple, together with their beautiful little girl, Elysia. As I mentioned, the day started out beautifully but there was a threat of severe thunderstorms at some point during the day. The wedding ceremony was planned to be outside with the guests facing the water in the beautiful open water backdrop for the ceremony itself. As you might have guessed, the weather radar indicated that a major thunderstorm was headed our way, right on cue. As the downpour started, at the exact time the ceremony was to begin, everyone headed for cover in the Oceanview Dining Hall. The downpour lasted for 15 minutes and we were able to begin the wedding about 30 minutes late. All in all, it was a beautiful wedding for beautiful couple and their friends and family. We really enjoyed meeting Melissa and Michael enjoyed being a part of their special day.
